  1. A bit unrelated / related: Japan has been much slower to the digital transformation as well. Still use paper receipts. Also, I remember seeing an article that Japanese customers love DVDs and CDs still. Amazon Really Wants Japanese Music Fans to Stop Buying CDs. CDs and DVDs account for almost three fourths of music sales (from 2020)
