  1. There was probably a time period where people could sweep stuff under the rug. But, surely she doesn't actually think she's not going to jail right? There are some countries where you can pay off the victims and get a lesser sentence. The US ain't one of them. Has to be at least 10 years for each kid. Yikes, just did a google search. The general rule is that a defendant serves 50 percent of his or her sentence while in prison. Violent felony is 85 percent. Yeah, she needs to get 30+ years, so she can serve at least 15 years in jail. She's 60, so she'll get out when she's 75.
