  2. She killed it. I've watched all the WHCDs and she's near the top. Solid writing material that was relevant and didn't use the rehash "cspan" and "Hilton" targets. Knew when to take appropriate pauses for impact and barely used any notes. The order and transitions of the jokes were masterful for any standup act.

  13. hfontanez98 I am a little more empathetic. Not all of us win the sperm lottery and we all are impacted by our surrounding environment. I became good friends with a co-worker in my late teens and we grew up in quite different environments. I was fortunate to be raised in a 2 parent relatively stable middle class household. My friend wasn't as fortunate and grew up with his grandmother without much parental supervision. It played a big part of how our futures played out. I believe we should look out for the less fortunate especially if one is more successful. While you quoted JFK, I'll quote RFK, “Each time a man stands up for an ideal, or acts to improve the lot of others, or strikes out against injustice, he sends forth a tiny ripple of hope, and crossing each other from a million different centers of energy and daring those ripples build a current which can sweep down the mightiest walls of oppression and resistance.” Yeah, it's an idealist view and pragmatically, it's much harder to execute. It's a better world if we are our brother's (and sister's) keeper.

  16. Politics is a hard game especially if you have forces going into opposite ways. The GOP has no incentive to provide health care for all of Americans. Health care is an economic issue which is in the breadbox of every American. If Americans don't have worry about health insurance coverage by employers, it gives them the freedom to take risks in their career.

  17. hfontanez98 Actually, RFK is very relevant. After seeing extreme poverty in the south, RFK was very moved by it and made it a large conversation for his family. And yes, my ideas about empathy are very broad.

  25.  @one4all126  The 2nd doctor is from Johns Hopkins: the one that said 48 hours ago was the antibody cocktail (noon Thu). It's the best hospital in MD (I grew up in Baltimore). He has zero obligation to "lie" for POTUS and hasn't sent any corrections. There has to be some code of ethics about "lying" for doctors. The main doctor is a Navy dude. He has to follow orders from the commander-in-chief. (And no, doctors do not speak in vague terms of "days" when speaking about a medical history to convey 36 hrs split into 3. You'll get someone killed that way.)

Just like he was lying about the O2 administering. He used clever words that were technically right. "Right now" or "Yesterday, not here". All reports are saying Trump was given O2 at the WH yesterday. (and he didn't sign the letter.
