MPs f'd up. The line isn't that long and they should of waited to see if he got through the security part. (I could be completely wrong if he went to the customs and then lied about losing his passport.)

@englishteacherdon My relatives drop me off and wait until I go through the boarding pass / passport check at ICN. Pretty unnecessary since I'm a full grown adult now (for a while). I think something is getting "lost in translation" (metaphorically).

@jdmbeats I would discourage this unless you have a strong desire to visit Korea and are adventurous. While it's pretty easy to get around Seoul (lots of signs in romanization), Korea is not very English friendly.
