  1. I think this is with all the allergy foods even as an adult. I was never allergic to shrimp, but stopped eating "fresh" shrimp for 10+ years after high school. Just ate the clean ones served with sushi. Then, I ate shrimp (twice) within 6 months and realized I have a shrimp allergy. First time was bad, but I didn't eat that much. The 2nd time, I ate a lb of shrimp. It was horrible even after I took benadryl. Lactose intolerance seems to be a bit more common as you get older. But, generally I stopped drinking milk after high school as well. And, developed it.
