  1. US news org are terrible. Canada news is so much better. I got this from Canada public news station: the average Canada poultry farm has 25K birds. And, the average US farm has...wait for it...6-8 MILLION hens. Canada has a built in safety system by not relying on huge corporate farms. If 1 bird gets the flu, all the birds have to be killed. Way less damage in an outbreak in Canada.

  2.  @scyllasmite4819  You forgot something my friend. Corporations don't pass on the costs only to consumers. They pass along the cost + maintaining their profit margins. I'll give an example: If something costs 1 dollar. And a tariff increases price by 25%, the new cost is 1.25. They don't raise prices by 25 cents, but by 50 cents to ensure to maintain their profit margin. It's the dirty secret on price increases.
