  7. Thought it was a bit silly of a lawsuit, but if you read some of the details, the City is definitely liable. You can't pull out your phone at a bar and show pictures of dead people from an investigation.

  13. Half story. Police should immediately watch the CCTV to find the suspect and see if it’s a greater danger to the community. Don’t all parking lots have cameras these days as well? Can’t be that many people that were on that floor.

  15. When I was a kid, we deposited the big bills in a time lock safe. Shouldn’t even be that much money in the registers. My other job as a teen, we’d have close to 10K cash on a busy weekend. Pretty nuts.

  27. There is a video of a male SRO in a collar and elbow tie up with a student. Student doesn't even do a double leg, but gets inside with a bodylock and does a belly to belly suplex. Another video of a male cop guarding a police station behind a locked door. Goes outside the protected area and gets worked over, pinned in a full mount. It's not that she's a female, some of these cops have no clue how to grapple.

  31. We all feel invincible at that age. Sometimes, it's just luck that we are alive. I went surfing during a hurricane in my teen years alone even though I'm not the best swimmer. Realistically, the waves were big, but sucked because of the wind. Much better the following day when the swell was still heavy, but waves cleaner. Edit: East Coast big. Not Hawaii / Mavericks big, lol.

  32. It’s a non-profit law firm. Way lower cut of any settlement. But yeah, taxes will eat into the settlement. The more important aspect is if interest will be paid on lost wages and of course punitive damages.
