  7.  @michaelccozens  You need to do some research on TARP. Wasn't a fan of banks getting money, so they could pay for "bets" against the CDOs. But, you have to take the bad with the good. Keeping banks afloat was critical not just now, but for the future. Part of the reason we are going through energy price spikes is that we didn't keep small refiners and drillers afloat during the pandemic. Lots of bankruptcies. Now, we are f'd because we have less refiners and a few companies controlling the market.
