  1. You didn't watch the video or understand it. He was a suspect in a case. While getting investigated, he admitted to possessing a firearm while under a domestic violence restraining order which restricted his gun possession. The case he was getting investigated for is still pending. Centrally, the law deals with the legality of a "protective order" and if that protective order can restrict gun possession.

Feb '20: restraining order that barred him from possessing firearms Dec-Jan '21: suspected of being involved in 5 shooting incidents Officers executed a search warrant and found guns / ammos in his possession. Charged and pled / found guilty to a Federal crime of violating a 1968 / 1994 law about restraining orders and possessing guns. He hasn't gone to trial yet on the suspected shooting incidents yet. (There is nothing public about his background pre-2020 and I'm assuming he has no record. It's a big case. They would have included it in any synopsis.)
