  1. The pilot was pretty experienced. Ex-Airforce and had been flying with the airline for 10 years. Likely, it the same type of plane the whole time. Not Sully level, but he wasn't green.

  2.  @MissTalmo  lol, that is false. It was handling international flights way before this. You've never been to Korea. There are very few domestic flights since the country is small. People just take the train.

  4. That is a pretty small regional airport. Pre-2020, it looks like they were handling <20 flights a day.

  5.  @MissTalmo  lol, this airport was just built and completed in 2007. It got upgraded to a level 9 airport. Do you know what that means? It means that an A330 can land there. It had 900K passengers pre-pandemic. Mokpo closed down when this airport opened. Stop making stuff up.

The funny thing is there is a simple function that allows to search for sites before a certain date (and strips away any info from the crash). It's clear as day that it was functioning as an international airport years before.

Another Korean International Airport Will Resume Flights to Vietnam From this July, Muan International Airport (South Jeolla province, South Korea) starts resumption of flights to Vietnam. The Muan country government and travel companies specializing in local charter flights announced they will orderly resume the flights to Da Nang, Nha Trang, Da Lat (Vietnam), Bangkok (Thailand), and Ulaanbaatar (Mongolia) cities this July. The local authority emphasized that Vietnam, Thailand, and Mongolia have simplified the entry filings so when entering these countries, people will only need to bring the COVID-19 vaccination certificate. After two years and seven months affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, Muan International Airport resumed the flights.
