  2. USS Kentucky carries SLBMs. This sub, USS Annapolis, doesn't.

  3. Pretty good odds that missile defense systems can stop a few ICBMs. The issue is Russia or China. They have enough to overwhelm the current missile defense. And, they wouldn't just launch at the US. Likely, they would shell the South with conventional weapons.
