HALF the reported crimes of Germany, overall one of the lowest crime rates in the world. And the vast majority of pickpockets are not native Italians.

Though Italy kidnapping rate fluctuated substantially in recent years, it tended to decrease through 2004 - 2018 period ending at 0.3 cases per 100,000 population in 2018.
