@CircumcizeURhearts Had a drunk ram into my garage and cause $80K worth of damage to the house and car14 years ago, a little more to the right could have gone into my kitchen or living room and the damage could have been double or more.. Know how many years of insurance that would buy? If you have a mtg, you must have it and if you ever need a reverse mtg not keeping up your insurance could/would eliminate you. Anything can happen, not having insurance is a big risk and no-no.

@nobodyspecial4702 Dream on, those "30 year shingles" are a sham that last less than half those years, same phony guarantee as those 50-60K mile tires. You only get that amount of years from tile or metal roofs.

@CircumcizeURhearts Drunk driver and I live in a neighborhood of mostly million $ homes with NO mtg. Ask yourself, why would I lie? What else you want to know? All you need is one unexpected disaster and all that money you "saved" will go up in smoke plus, possibly a whole lot more out of pocket. Hope you sleep well at night.

@CircumcizeURhearts P.S. I bet all those Ft. Meyers folk never expected a bridge collapse, flooding, or total house destruction either when they risked living there and didn't take out flood insurance.
