They're brahmins from north who settled in kerala. they practiced eugenics openly by restricting the native Nairs of kerala from mating with thier women. instead the firstborn of a nair woman was fathered by a brahmin namboothiri man and then the subsequent children of nair women were "allowed" to be fathered by Nair men. Thats the degree to which they wanted to seperate themselves from native keralites. they were a badass bunch.
