@importantstuf8870 Yeah, they really need to work on having a balance between an individualistic and collectivistic society. I always fantasized about living in heavily collectivistic societies, thinking that you can rely on some random person whenever you want and that random ppl will act like your family members and all that wholesome shit but implementing such things surely seems to be very unrealistic........

So chick sleeps around irresponsibly in her very first month in Japan and gets knocked up and then blames the Japanese guy for her wrong choices? WTF!!!

@electrasmelody9637 She clearly says she got knocked up in her very first month in Japan. That's not how you choose partners.

@moscaonthewall I don't think his goal is to "Advance his career" and that's why he chose Japan. He wants to go to Japan and entering Japan with strong STEM degrees is a better move than moving in as an English teacher and being frowned upon cuz you're considered a loser who couldn't get "proper" degrees and hence you use Asian countries to make a living out of your most basic skill, which is English speaking.

@John Grigg Or he's just incompetent at the work place? STEM fields don't and CAN'T discriminate against foreigners. The more qualified candidate regardless of his/her "Japanese-ness" is and should logically be preferred cuz the business aims to make profit, not favour its native Japanese citizens. I've lived quite a while in Japan and I can't count with my fingers how many gaijin I've encountered that whine whine whine about their work but they don't see that they're just so bad at it. These are the ones who eventually give up and go back home.

@madalin4802 is she from New York or some other American state? Japan's cost of living is actually lower than those states'.

9:52 Nah, I ain't believing any study that shows Indian workers having the highest job satisfaction. Lol. As an Indian, I know this is absolutely not true.
