  3. This is stupidly untrue. In America you can participate in the unified nationhood of America and take pride in said nationhood without descending from a certain race. Whereas, it's still the opposite in most European countries. Very obvious who cares more about genealogy. Some Spanish dude on TikTok was going crazy when he found out he had Arab DNA. (Arabs conquered parts of Spain at a time and had some fun there).

  4.  jermastan1636  You can in some sense say it's a race but it's not well defined as a race either because I've seen Italians who look more Arab than white and Arabs who look more White than Arab. Same with Medetterenains and greeks, some of them don't look definingly white. I think if we were to rank the (socially perceived) whitest European ethncities(only in terms of phentoypes), Scandinavians, Eastern Europeans would come out top, with Greeks, Italians, Medterrenains at the very bottom.

  8.  @domerame5913  no that's not what nationhood means in the US. Nobody has to conform to some "local culture". Different cultures bring different local cultures with them and yet try to coexist based on a set of common national ideals. As long as we agree upon the more important things it doesn't matter if we disagree on a hundred different trivial matters.
