Japan seriously considered surrendering after they realised they'll be defeated by the Soviets. Even if America hadn't dropped the nukes, Japan would've surrendered. America dropping the nukes just accelerated the surrendering. American government propaganda is the most dangerous and disgusting propaganda in the world.

Imagine you're asked to help someone open this door that's not opening for some reason: you do some tricks and unlock the lock and just when you're about to lay hands on the knob and push the door, someone appears out of nowhere, storms through the door and shouts "Yay, I opened it*. That's essentially what happened back then. Even if America hadn't dropped the nukes Japan would've surrendered cuz they feared they would be demolished by the Soviets. Look at history as a whole and try to come up with your own viewpoints too, don't just swallow what you're fed.
