Stalin's ( TN CM) goverment has appointed a bunch of people with appropriate credentials who know what standardized tests are for and their limitations, have experience in setting up medical curriculum, etc. This committee penned a 150+ page report on "Neet's impact on students" blah blah blah. The previous time the TN government (former goverment, not DMK) asked for exemption, they were just like "Ummm...so we don't want neet...haha". And the centre sent them home. This time, they're trying to convince them using well researched scholarly papers. We'll see what happens.

So, any Christian denomination that doesn't do this is basically....not so christian. Secondly, my comment didn't mention anything related to this dam issue, but if you want to know my opinion on this... Yeah, I want the dam to be rebuilt properly. Kerala and TN, both of us will face problems if the dam explodes.

We're actually having a negative growth rate: Note, I'm not saying our population has been decreasing, I'm saying that the rate at which our population was increasing has declined. Before the 80's it was 4.0 per woman which has been reduced to a national average of 2.4 per woman now. In UP, it's currently 2.7, which back in the day was like 4+ per woman. Simply put, UP's population will peak and start declining by 2025 without the help of this bill.

I get that argument...but I'm worried we'll end up with a demographic crisis like China. Our national GDP has made it to the top 10 GDP countries mostly due to the sheer number of us existing here. We're not sufficiently technologically advanced like Japan to combat a demographic crisis with robots or something....so I have mixed views on that approach.

I basically meant to ask if you're suggesting that we should abruptly and rapidly decrease the growth rate(which is what this bill, if implemented, would do) instead of letting it peak naturally and later decline (as expected from the data). This would inevitably result in a demographic crisis (in the coming 7-8 years) like the one China is having. A demographic crisis in UP is the last thing you would want in this world as you can't convince people to migrate to UP for anything.
