@sunghwanpark2799 "Asia" lol. Do you realise how big of a blanket term that is? In reality, only China and South Korea are contributing to IT software industry. India also kinda pumps out huge amounts of IT talent....but sadly they're not used to the benefit of India (=immigrate to western countries), so India doesn't count either. In short, just a few Asian countries advancing doesn't mean the whole of Asia is advancing.

The man with the world's highest IQ ever recorded was mentally programmed from a young age to have an above-average IQ and over time his IQ was something even greater than the intended "above-average" IQ. The only downside is he grew up to be incredibly socially awkward to the point that he had to use pseudonyms every time he wrote a book, lost his early childhood boosting his IQ, and frequently had suicidal thoughts. There are pros and cons; personally, I think the cons outweigh the pros. Eugenics has always been used to do ethnic and racial cleansing. You simply can't come up with an excuse to use eugenics.

@cyberflaw_ So, essentially, the high drop rate is due to useless outdated course material.... Is that all? I've had people scare me saying CS is for the "intellectuals" and hence the high drop rate.... I'd actually rather deal with boring course material than too intellectually difficult syllabus.

Just judging by how Singapore treats its minorities, Singaporan Malays and Indians, who have helped built the nation historically, it's obvious that Singapore is not Anti-immigrant.
