Kerala has high literacy rates and really gorgeous scenery but we need other South Indian states to make sure Kerala's economy is stable.

  46.    Bruh....India is a "Union of states" The constitution literally says so. India's country-ness isn't similar to that of the US or China or something. This union of states is governed by the "union" government that vows not to interfere with the identity and sovereignty of the individual states. Also, the people that make up this committee who're trying to scrap NEET are well educated graduates. It just doesn't make sense to measure how eligible a student is for a medical seat based on just ONE exam, disregarding his/her 12 years of education. Most unis in developed countries are gradually limiting the use of standardised tests(GMAT, GRE, etc) to give admissions. These tests are biased towards the haves and have-nots. SAT scores, during their infancy in the US, were used to come to conclusions like "Black students have low IQs than white kids" Later, they realised that finding was utter BS. There was simply just a strong correlation between the family wealth of a student and his/her scores. ONE national test would NEVER work for a country of 1.3. BILLION. Every state's economic problems are different and should be dealt with by appointing able authorities that can focus on one state at a time. Get a Tamil friend and tell him to translate the arguments put forth by our TN finance minister PTR against NEET. He makes a lot of good points.

If 90% jobs pop up only in the north then we wouldn't have stats that clearly say South Indian states are the highest taxpayers who receive too less in return. The north jobs you're talking about are concentrated in Maharashtra, Punjab, etc. Point me to a stat that shows that high job opportunities in states like UP, Bihar, Madhya Pradesh...? These states are what actually comprise the North. Maharashtra is a west Indian state.
