@adamcampbell5977 they were samurais by legal title, not samurais who wielded swords or did cool shit like propaganda series is depicting. When white people came on the boat it's reportef that the Japanese were terrified of them as ghost looking people. And yet in the series magically the Japanese woman fawns all over him and talks about gentlemen in Europe. All of this is "woke" pandering to white people or...it it not woke as long as it's whites that are forcefully including themselves in glorious cultures like Japan?
