@damodaranvanisri Most Hindus haven't read the Vedas and other related scriptures from which the concept of caste stems from....does that mean the Vedas aren't important and have not affected the Indian subcontinent in a bad way? Just because somebody hasn't been in direct contact with the source of a certain evil, doesn't mean they've not been influenced by it subconciously. The Manusmriti teaches the most disgusting things on earth and these practices have been passed through the Hindu society/civilization.

@keyurpatel1982 The Catholic Church doesn't represent Christianity. The Catholic Church was completely in control of the Romans. The Romans could mold Christianity into whatever they wanted and presented it to other cultures. And, "Patel", Christianity is vehemently against caste cuz the Bible explicitly says "all men are created in the image of God". The implication of this everyone are equal and should be treated equal. A Christian who indulges in caste discrimination should repent and read his/her Bible properly.
