  4. The 6.8 program will be cancelled. As of now, USMC infantry platoons will have M27s supported by one M110A1 per squad, one M3E1 Carl Gustav 84mm per Squad, and an M240G attached to every squad. The 6.8x51 is a terrible idea that will go nowhere.

  6. Nah, it's an upgrade to every carbine, as well. The M4 has a sustained ROF of 15 rpm The M27 has a sustained ROF of 36 rpm The M249 has a sustained ROF of 85 rpm 3 M4s and a SAW in a fireteam= 130 rpm 4 M27s in a fireteam= 144 rpm
