  4. Humvees were replaced on the "front lines" over a decade ago. They are only allowed on base and are prohibited from combat use. For more than a decade, we've already been using MATVs. The JLTV is an armored car designed to replace the MATV, which replaced the Humvee. For all other light, unarmored uses, replacing the himvee completely should be done with the infantry squad vehicles. It has off the shelf tech, helicopter transportable, and uses the Chevy Colorado chassis and engine we don't need to be doing everything with huge armored cars.
