Under castle doctrines if you shoot someone defending your home rather than life, you're going to prison. Shoot someone through the door, you're going to prison.

  25.  @roechambeau8420  Oh, don't get me wrong. The whole situation was fubar. There IS a question of whether or not Walker actually hit mattingly at all. The round that hit his leg was a 9mm hollow point, but the ballistics lab couldn't match it to walkers gun. I think it's very possible that officer Taylor hit him with his MP5, as it was the only other 9mm gun there. Walker first claimed Breonna shot at them, then said he fired a warming shot, then later said he thought it was her ex. My whole issue with it is the blind firing with no aim in the general direction of performed threats. Both Walker and officer Taylor took no thought to actually seeing what going on. That should never be happening.

Once a man 26 years his junior started throwing him around, it became a life and death situation. How many stabs does it take for an attacker to be subdued? Once? Ten times? Answer- until he stops moving. This needs to be an example of keeping your hands to yourself and anyone thinking they can get away with behavior like this should pay attention. People are tired of this nonsense and want to see it stopped. I don't cry for felons assaulting old people. I'm glad he's dead.

When the old man tried to leave, he attacked him again. Yes, I have been attacked, and killed my attackers. You don't have to wait until your attacker kills you. He could have killed the old man just by knocking him to the ground and busting his head. Don't pretend for one minute it would have stopped with that. You know very well the stomps and kicks would be coming shortly. All the violent felon needed to do to keep breathing was leave the old man alone. That's it. HE chose this unnecessary confrontation and is a rotting corpse now, because of it. You don't think people aren't "dropping like flies" already? You must not live in the US, let alone a city like NY. Violent felons like this kill people daily, and I'm very happy to see this one pay the ultimate price. I have no problem whatsoever in seeing people like him "drop like flies". It should happen much more often.
