  43.  @fire_rises  Im in property management. When those people finally had to start paying rent, most owed 20 grand so they skipped out in the middle of the night. It's illegal for their next landlord to hold that against them, as well. All we can do is bring it to civil court, which hardly ever results in the tenant actually paying it back. Laws already favor tenants over management, and I constantly hear people advocating tipping the scales even more.
