Yeah that's not how it works You might want to take just a basic economics class which will explain it for you. If jobs have to pay everyone $15 per hour those same employers will have to cut employees and limit their hours to still stay within their budget of operating. See how this works? You don't just get paid more and everything stays the same This has been tried and has failed miserably in those places. Just look at Seattle as an example.

@rtyertrt7876 You obviously have not been in the real world very long or don't understand basic economics but if a small business has to pay their employees more per hour where is that money coming from and why wouldn't they have already been paying them that much if they could afford to? What happens when wages are mandated to be increased is that people's hours get cut and some employers have to lay people off because they cannot afford it under their bottom line. It's really simple
