  6. I just had foot surgery and then had to have it totally redone a month later and each hospital visit not counting the physicians or the anesthesiologist was over $140,000. I have to pay out $10,000 with my insurance before my out-of-pocket is met and blue Cross has changed it so that a lot of things don't go towards that out-of-pocket Max and when you pay a premium of $700 a month you would expect things to actually be covered. The prices of our pharmaceuticals and healthcare visits especially hospitals and our insurance premiums are absolutely asinine and the insurance companies have way too much damn power. If I did not pay my $700 a month premium and have insurance I would be responsible for that full bill but since they are contracted with blue Cross They only got paid about $15,000 from that $140,000 that they billed. Smh
