This man and his wife lost their son over 534 dollars that UHC should have paid or at the very least, notified the family and his doctor that the medication would no longer be covered so the doctor could suggest genetics. I'm a now former UHC and Optum customer of 26 years. Out of the blue, they stopped covering my medication -- I NEED it to keep me alive. I paid $50/month and it suddenly shot up to $845 with no explanation. Because there is no alternative, I have to pay it. So I have a few more dollars to make thanksgiving and Christmas dinners, I take 3/4 of my daily dose in Oct, Nov, and Dec which saves me one full month ($845). It will be 935 in Jan 2025. My daughter currently lives in the UK, and I had her find out how much it costs there. £9.90 which is about $13.

 @scathachmuirisc7149 the point is the pro-life crowd is only pro-life unless profits drop. If there's a bigger profit to be had, sustaining life takes a back seat.
