Given how many months every member of Congress on the Committee has been outspoken about their strong doubts Garland is doing any type of investigation into the top tier planners if 01/06, there's no way those who say garland is just being thorough and crossing T's and dotting I's can be right. The entire Committee as a group and individually has expressed numerous times of their frustrations over Garland's lack of investigations.

  2. The problem is the Committee is restrained by Garland and his lack of investigating and using all of the evidence the Committee has so methodically attained. Now, Trump's team has "leaked" that he'll be announcing his 2024 run in the next few days. What a great strategy given that Garland seems literally petrified to appear to be even a smidgeon partisan, meaning, garland will NEVER pursue holding Trump accountable even if Trump confessed on every news outlet in the US. Don't bother to reply that Garland is making sure his ducks are in a row -- The Jan 6 Committee doesn't even believe Garland is bothering to pursue any of the evidence they've uncovered. I'll take the collective words of the Committee over my own hope Garland is actually investigating. The only reason he raised Clark's home and took Eastman's phone is he was backed into a corner from 10.5 hours of the Jan 6 hearing. Then, to FINALLY request transcripts of testimony from over 1,000 individuals.... All I can say is wtf garland, WTF?

It's gotten to a point that if Garland is going to continue to completely dishonor all of the previous oaths he took in the course of his career to honor our Constitution, I'd rather not learn any more of the past crimes and the current incredible threat that Trump & Gang pose to our nation. It would be less worrisome. Schiff and his colleagues NEED to lean on Biden to have him strongly urge Garland to either appoint a Special Prosecutor OR to have him resign asap & appoint an AG replacement. I've written every Dem in Congress that I've donated to from 2018-2021 and explained that I will not be making any additonal donations to the UNTIL they've put adequate pressure on the WH as stated above.

  4. It's a shame the Committee doesn't have the authority to replace an AG. OBVIOUSLY, they can't make Garland investigate, but they can pressure Biden to urge Garland to appoint a Special Prosecutor OR encourage him to resign altogether.

  5. His team just "leaked" that he'd be announcing his run for 2024 more than a year early. OBVIOUSLY, Trump knows the Committee has his number. BUT, Trump also sees the lack of any actuon on Garland's part. Everyone knows Garland is petrified of being accused of being politically partisan -- what better way to keep garland from pursuing anything against Trump than for Trump to formally announce his candidacy. Garland will be scared to even cough in Trump's direction.
