@finscreenname What do you mean "Oh, please"? The Chinese gov't has much stricter control over the Chinese version of TT. Do some research before TRYING to act smart. The Chinese gov't could never, or more accurately, would never allow their US version to be available in the CCP. YouTube is available in China, but when in China and you connect your device (cell, laptop, i-pad, etc) to any local WiFi, including the service in your hotel, the CCP filters will stop/block you from accessing the US version of YouTube (and TT). China keeps a strong lock on all web domains accessed within the country. The ONLY group/organization in or out of China that is capable of pulling a chinese-based site's user stats, collectively and individually, is the CCP. The CCP may not inform their citizens that it gathers data to spy/surveill them, but US Intelligence has confirmed they do. More recently, the CCP has put out an active campaign to stop Americans from even asking, nevermind, researching the differences... It's obviously working given your responses to my statements. THAT is EXACTLY why three other countries WERE and HAVE BEEN able to interfere in our elections. They don't do it through "Special Chinese Paper Used for Ballots in Arizona but ballots were shredded and mixed with grains to feed the chickens in a Maricopa-based chicken farm but don't worry. We sent chicken poop to be DNA tested.. " Yeah, I'm sure what Arizona's legislators were thinking when they decided the DNA extracted from the excrement of chickens was dearly needed.

@finscreenname To the comment you deleted: That is incorrect. The Chinese version of TT allowed by the CCP is not at all like the US version. The CCP-regulated Chinese version is appropriate for young children -- REALLY appropriate, in a Mister Rogers sort of way. The TT version china uses in the US is not at all a "Mister Rogers-type" of app. The following is my opinion after a few hours of research: In all likelihood, the CCP approved the version used in the US either knowing or because it could extract data from US-users. TT should come with a warning label just like the DOD sent out telling military members and their families not to use DNA-based ancestry registries, like Ancestry, 23 and Me, etc, because the DNA bio-data from individuals is being sold collectively and then, its usage is controlled by the China's state gov't.
Again, the original Chinese TT app allowed and used in China is NOT AT ALL SIMILAR to the one they launched in the US, and you may want to stop posting misinformation b/c when others see a statement in a comment that is factually wrong, it brings all of your statements into question. Perhaps, you are just repeating misinformation as it was told to you. In that case, you may want to verify everything that person(s) presented you as factual.
