  1. ​ @davelowe1977  Most SSRIs used for treating anxiety disorders take 4 weeks to do much help. In severe cases, I can see someone being prescribed a lower dosage of a benzo for the initial 2-4 weeks until the SSRI starts doing its job. But, I also think urine screens should be done before anyone is prescribed a benzo to confirm there are no other drugs, including alcohol, being taken to self-medicate.
