She isn't saying Jesus is the cause. She is saying that those who push their religion onto others and shame others for having a different belief are the problem

No, she's advocating for the TRUE separation of church and state, as well as actual equality.. Would you be okay with schools teaching atheism? Probably not...and neither should YOUR religious beliefs. I don't do the right thing and a high moral character because I'm afraid of burning for an eternity. I do the right thing because it's simply the thing to do!

Religions have been used by governments to control their people for centuries. Allowing laws to be based solely upon religious beliefs is not separating church and state and provides a very controlled type of "freedom".

She had to move herself and her son's out of Baltimore for their safety. They landed in Austin, Texas -- which would likely not be the best choice today. She fought Baltimore schools in court to stop required prayer and bible verses in publicly c schools. She went on to fight hard for the separation of church and state.
