@cassandragarcia5548 Christie is the ONLY one who criticized Trump for the first hour. The only reason the others offered minimal "criticism" was because they were asked directly, "Is Trump fit for office?" and NOT one of the other 3 would answer directly... Christie is the ONLY one to answer the question. They all danced around it.

There was too much time spent on transgender. This is less than 0.06% of our population. It's a waste of time to talk about it when it affects so few Americans. On this topic, Christie is 100% on point. It's a slippery slope if we open the door to taking rights away from parents,

@Reallifeintheblue Absolutely. Christie is the only one with the guts to say what needed to be said about Trump. Haley is the only one who has said she would not sign a total abortion ban because the majority of Americans do NOT want a total ban. Haley has said she will not sign bills unless the majority of Americans agree with what's in it.

@ericreid8111 I appreciated Christie calling out Ramaswarmy for trying to call Haley unintelligent AGAIN (I noticed Trump started calling her Birdbrain after Ramaswarmy did it in the first debate). Haley may be a lot of things, but unintelligent isn't one of them. Ramaswarmy is just following Trump's playbook. However, I could hear everyone in this debate for the most part because, unlike the last debates, Ramaswarmy didn't constantly interrupt and try to over-talk everyone else. Christie is the ONLY one speaking the truth about Trump and anyone supporting Trump for the nomination is fooling themselves. They love him souch that they're not willing to even look at even the most basics of the facts that Christie presented AGAIN. Why on Earth would anyone support a candidate facing 91 FELONY indictments, including 44 that are RICO-related? If Trump gets the nomination and is convicted in one case before the election, every poll taken by pollsters across the board shows he will lose a minimum of at least 28% of Independent voters who would vote for him if he is on November's ballot against Biden. It's an even higher percentage for Republican voters who say they would no longer vote for Trump if he's convicted. Democrats want Trump to win the nomination because all roads lead to Republicans losing not only the WH but all of those down ballot votes can only help them to keep the Senate and flip the House. This is why Trump is trying so hard to delay all 4 of his criminal cases. The OVERWHELMING majority of voters don't want a president who has to focus more on his own legal problems and trying to stay out of jail than focusing on the country. I can't believe any of his supporters can read Maga leaders Project 2025 and be okay with what they have planned for the country. We will lose our rights to vote, as in voting will be a thing of the past. Years from now, you'll tell your grandchildren what it was like to vote for our Representatives.

@Reallifeintheblue I agree, except I believe Haley has carried herself well in every debate. She hasn't resorted to name-calling or bullying. That said, she, like the others with the exception of Christie, won't call out Trump even though Trump is literally their opponent in this debate.

Iknowaboutroaches3350 "Making the others look foolish" by BULLYING and NAME-CALLING means nothing except to show how childish and immature he is. If he thinks he can act like this with leaders of other nations, he'll be a disaster. His plan for Russia and Ukraine is DISASTROUS for the US, and if you don't understand why, you don't know enough about foreign affairs and policy and US military strategy to intelligently comment.

I think it was a bit more civil because Ramaswarmy didn't spend the entire debate interrupting and talking over the other candidates like a child and only bullied and called Haley names a few times in this debate -- (He also lost that sing-songy voice he used until today). It made the ENTIRE debate more civil and we could actually HEAR each candidate respond, for the most part.

@freshkesh7781 Well, one thing they do in Australia is make voting mandatory for all citizens (or receive a fine --$80, I believe). I would LOVE to see voting mandatory because it would nudge younger voters into paying attention to politics and what's going on in the country and in their own state. After all, political decisions and laws made today are going to affect younger voters during their "prime" years. HOWEVER, requiring everyone eligible to vote in the US will make it extremely difficult for Republicans to win many elections. There wouldn't be a Republican President for the foreseeable future. That said, if politicians KNOW every younger voter will be voting, politicians will start focusing on passing laws that help younger voters. The BIGGEST change that would happen if everyone has to vote is we would see much younger men and women in Congress and the WH. The reason the average age in the Senate is 76yo is because the voter age group that votes in the highest percentages are those aged 65+to with a voting rate of over 70%. Voters aged 18-24yo vote at the lowest rate with just 12%. That's why a young politician running for Congress has a very difficult time getting elected because the voter support isn't there for them. If young people would start voting at the same rate as older voters, we'd see quite a few younger people in office!
