@The_Phoenix_Saga You talk about your desire to do away with the British monarchy, but they bring in billions of tourist pounds into the UK, as well as, into many of the Commonwealth countries, esp during their visits. The monarch has no actual powers over Parliment, and while the royal family is merely ceremonial, for the last 70 years, the Queen has been the single, non-political constant that has been able to bring the country together. While you may feel it's outdated to have a constitutional monarchy where the monarchy holds no real power, the majority of the Crown's Subjects do feel differently.
When you say "spoiled brat", I assume you are referencing Markle. I must say, I don't understand the collective hatred of some Brits (assuming you are also British), mostly young women under 35 yo. For someone who doesn't support even having a monarchy, it would seem that you would applaud Meghan's and Harry's decision to step out and away from it. They are actually doing exactly what you desire by showing that they are not supportive of being "working royals". So, please, help me understand why you disagree with the monarchy on one hand, but despise those who actively chose to leave the monarchy. If Markle is your "spoiled brat", why do you so strongly dislike her and/or her actions? I'm trying not pass judgement on your opinions, but they don't seem consistent. I'm trying to understand those inconsistencies.
