@NoahSpurrier They made an exception for the trials that were connected to Watergate (I'm talking about the trials not the Congressional hearings, but BOTH were shown on TV)

@JustChuck1982 In states that allow civil and/or criminal trials to be televised, they are not allowed to capture the jurors while filming. Courtrooms that have fixed cameras, don't have cameras set towards the jury chamber

@annteve Both the Watergate Congressional hearings AND the Watergate trials were televised.

@goffe2282 We, the people, are the victims of the 4th charge in the indictment and US Federal law states that Victims of crimes have the right to see the defendant at his/her trial. RE: US Code 18 section 3771 is the "Crime Victims Rights" under Federal law. If you look it up, you'll see that #3 states that a victim has the right to see the trial of the defendant.

You need to read US Code 18 : 3771 Crime Victim's Rights and pay special attention to #1 and #3

@NoahSpurrier It's the judicial administration OR Congress that can allow a federal criminal trial to be televised

@NoahSpurrier The people who can allow a particular case to be televised are the Judicial Administration, Congress, or the Chief Justice (Roberts).

I suspect the DOJ will offer him the same deal as Spiro Agnew: Plead guilty to one felony and promise never to run for office again in exchange for no prison time. Why would they do this? Because they know Trump would be the most dangerous to the country if he was ever in office again. So, the plea deal is the best way to protect the country..

@Benson_aka_devils_advocate_88 Also, federal civil cases in several courtrooms in Florida and California are currently under a pilot program that allows audio and video recordings. So, it's not true that "No Federal trials can/are televised".
