@USCTrojan2013 I disagree. Indict and get Meadows convicted. THEN, get him to flip in exchange for the prosecutor recommending a lighter sentence post-conviction. Meadows seemed to be in on J6 from the start, and he should not receive complete immunity for testifying.

I'm sure that's why Smith had Pence testify before Mark Meadows.

@RandaWise Pence probably believes God is a republican, and his faith requires him to forgive all Republicans. Christian love is very selective.

@Kiskadee8388 Don't be too quick to praise Garland. He still has to follow through with Jack Smith's recommendations for indictments. Garland's reaction to Jack Smith's report may be even more disappointing than Barr's reaction to Mueller's report.

Different topic, but I see a big GOP donor has been paying school tuition for someone Clarence Thomas says "is like a son to me."

@Greg I think Pence's faith will prompt him to not lie under oath. However, getting him to actually answer questions instead of responding as though he's campaigning, was likely an issue.

@billrobbins5874 Pence is probably the one out of all of them that will tell the truth for the questions he actually does answer.

Personally, I think we should all be prepared for the real possibility that Garland will choose not to follow through with Jack Smith's recommendations.

@kindGSL Is it doing that, though?

@mtaylor7307 Pence doesn't have a problem lying to the public and also skirting questions, but I think his faith will be the basis for him being truthful under oath...at least for the questions he actually answers instead of word salad responses. I think Pence testifying it's a good sign the J6 investigation is nearing completion. I don't think there aren't many left. Has Mark Meadows gone?

I don't know that Pence has done anything that would get him convicted. If he has any criminal culpability, his legal team would likely have pushed for immunity before he testified.
