  3.  @kig57  I have faith in Jack Smith and feel certain he will recommend indictments against Trump and his co-conspirators. Unfortunately, I don't have any faith that Garland will actually follow through on Jack Smith's recommendations.

  4. I 100% agree Glenn! Garland has allowed Trump to get to this point by being complicit. The J6 investigation by the DOJ into Trump and his J6 co-conspirators didn't even begin until 21 months after garland became AG, and the only reason Jack Smith is investigating it is because Garland was backed into a public corner by the J6 Committee. Had Trump not announced he was running for office 5 months ago, there'd be no DOJ investigation into Trump's involvement in planning J6. House Democrats need to encourage Biden to replace garland BEFORE garland positions the DOJ to officially ignore jack Smith's reports and indictment recommendations.

  6. ABSOLUTELY! I had such high hopes and faith in Garland when he was appointed, but he's been as equally complicit regarding the crimes of Trump and his co-conspirators as Bill Barr was. At least Barr told us up front that he was protecting Trump. Garland's past actions/inactions are why I refuse to get my hopes up with Jack Smith's investigations. I'm sure Smith will recommend indictments against Trump and members of Congress, but the final decision to indict still rests with Garland. I agree with Brian and Glenn -- Garland is and has done nothing to hold Trump accountable and that has emboldened Trump even more.

  8.  @robinwhitlatch4497  For starters, Trump will purposely publish cherry-picked excerpts of discovery evidence and turn around and claim he is being denied due process because there's no way to seat 12 untainted jurors.

  9.  @robinwhitlatch4497  Let's not forget that AG Garland did virtually nothing to investigate Trump and his J6 co-conspirators for 20+ months. I sure hope garland follows through on Jack Smith's recommendations.
