@MrTomemac Yes, they believe what they WANT to believe.

@martyjames9368 He's not sick. He's a textbook narcissist and possibly a sociopath.

@geronimo19611 Yes. Don't forget that in her autobiography, Ivana stated that he only had two hobbies: Golfing and repeatedly watching and studying Hitler's speeches. She said he was fascinated with how Hitler was able to convince so many people to love him and obey him. She wrote this 19 years before he decided to run for office, as well.

@jenniferhampton5171 That was reportedly the tipping point even for Rupert Murdoch.

@Slo-ryde No, he doesn't believe his lies are truth. If he actually believed what he says, his attorneys would have allowed him to testify (without pleading the 5th and giving written responses). If he believed what he's saying, he'd be consistent under oath.

@Neonmirrorblack No, it doesn't prevent lying, but for someone who lies as unconsciously as we breathe, he would contradict himself during the same testimony period several times and that's when a casebook charge of perjury happens. There's a reason perjury is rarely charged. It's because the person under oath has to state two opposing statements, both while under oath. It's unusual for a witness to make contradictory statements under oath, esp during a single stream of testimony, but Trump would do just that. That's why he never actually testifies -- his attorneys won't allow him to say anything under oath. I was surprised that he actually managed to only plead the 5th recently. I'm sure it took all he could to not respond.

@jcsrst Thankfully, that group is getting smaller and smaller.

@PeBoVision It's not "more likely". It IS

That's why his attorneys won't allow him to testify. I'm surprised he managed to stick to the 5th in the Trump Org civil case.

I think he knows full well that he lost the election and it was an accurate loss. He's a textbook narcissist, and they may come across like they believe what they're saying but they know the truth.
2
Man, he cannot let that election lose go. His statement hit all the debunked maga conspiracies, including Pelosi refusing to have the DC Guard come (DC Guard answer solely to the POTUS). He even tapped around Ray Epps being a FBI informant

I think he's using whatever filter Kari Lake demands when on camera

@ericaward702 Unfortunately, Trump will never be put in a cell even if he's found guilty of multiple felonies. Because he is a former POTUS, if, IF he's ever sentenced, it will be some type of modified home confinement.
1
@bizzjoe Well, didn't McCarthy already announce they're going to investigate them? So, settle down on the Biden's and wait your turn.

I see Trump is now using the same filter Kari Lake demands when on camera. It's like someone smeared Vaseline on the lens.

If he actually believed what he said, he'd be able to testify. There's a reason his legal team won't allow him to answer anything under oath except his name and the 5th. Mueller made a huge error in allowing him to write written responses to no more than 25 questions AND without any follow-up questions.

@Slo-ryde I think Marjorie Traitor Greene recently made it clear that everyone needs to bring their guns to their next insurrection attempt.

I noticed he's started using Kari Lake's filter -- it's like someone smeared Vaseline on the lens and hard to tell if he has a face at all
