  1.  @surfingonmars8979  and I live in Georgia, where our incumbent governor (Kemp) just advocated for and has now signed into law a bill removing the need to have a permit in order to carry a concealed firearm. So, no background checks or firearms training required to carry concealed. I can't even imagine how law enforcement feels about this.

  5. And police departments don't routinely outfit their officers with these types of firearms. The sheer fact that the officer in charge in the Uvalde scene refused to give the order to go inside b/c if the firearm power of ONE person should be just as much of the focus as to why/how this order violated procedural protocol. But, as long as we and the news, especially conservative news, stays focused on the later, it means no one is focusing on the former. It's no different than schoolyard bullies picking on another child-- when the bully hasneveryone focused on bullying the perceived shortcomings of the bulliedb child, the bully is guaranteed no one is focusing on his shortcomings

  6. They aren't putting guns over lives. Guns are simply a by-product. They are putting money in the form of campaign donations over lives, the lives of young children, at that.
