  1.  @SusseBo  Putin is so convinced that the overwhelming majority who are living in parts of Eastern Ukraine want to be Russians instead of Ukrainians, why can't Ukraine (not Russia) hold a vote like they did at one point with Crimea? If the majority want to stay with Ukraine, and Putin later decides to take one acre by force, he might end up with enough outraged that they can't be ignored & he can't throw everyone in prisons. The last polling in surveying that was done officially shows that less than 23% of those in eastern Ukraine want to join NATO. At the time of these official, after voting surveys that were done, it was over 60% felt they associated more with Russia and Russian culture vs Ukraine. I know that Putin can't keep getting his way AND he signed a treaty with Ukraine years ago promising that Russia would NEVER invade nor try to take/annex any part of Ukraine in exchange for ALL if Ukraine's nuclear weapons. Ukraine handed them over and kept up their end of the deal/treaty/contract. THAT to me needs to be talked about more in the news. It may help some Faux Noise watchers realize that Putin is definitely NOT someone to look up to by any means. Putin has shown time and time again that he cannot be trusted to uphold his own word. The scariest part of this is that Putin & Xi seemed to have recently made a friendship pact. China has always called out other countries when they've tried to overthrow a democratic government elected fairly by the citizens. It's a well-known tactic: Befriend your enemy's enemy. China and Russia cannot bully the US by themselves, but it's a different story now they joined forces -of some sort.
