  2.  @vbachman6742  Same. Hopefully, there will be enough evidence to charge each of those involved in the planning that there's no need to subpoena them. I think it's likely more frightening for each of them to not be questioned beforehand and to not having a good read on how/where Smith's investigation is going.

  4. One's title or office is not a shield from a subpoena. However, it's going to be garland's call on whether or not to indict a member of Congress. Of the four people that Congress referred for contempt, the only difference between the two garland chose to indict and the two he didn't is the latter have held elected office. I don't think it's a coincidence.
