  2. Or maybe, we can roll back all the tax cuts the top 2% have gotten since 1980. Someone making millions pays approx 8% in federal taxes. Someone earning $50k pays 28%. Tell me how that's fair. The wealth gap we now have started during Reagan's first term and has continuously and substantially grown since. Trickle down economics does not work for anyone except the top 2%. Since Reagan, politicians and the top 2% have tried to convince the middle that it's the fault of the bottom 20%. It is not. They're gearing up to sunset social security and Medicare because to pay for the wealthy tax cuts. If you are under 60yo, you need to be very careful how you vote next year.

  3. We have needed immigration reform for 20 years! It didn't work with Trump and it's not working with Biden. Under current policies, asylum applications have to be ruled upon and there has been a rolling 3 year backlog for over a decade. Only 30% of those applicants receive asylum after 3 years. Meanwhile, the US has to pay to house, feed, clothe and provide medical care to them.
