@priceisright1580 They have a standing policy that federal criminal trials and courtroom appearances are not televised nor video/audio recorded. However, they made an exception for Watergate. They'll likely do so for Trump's.

@psongman9536 I doubt the judge is going to allow that as a defense because he's not being accused of "illegal speech". As for Trump just taking the advice of his attorneys, who is going to tell the jurors this? Trump won't be taking the stand and his attorneys are the co-conspirators. They're not going to testify against themselves.

@half-breed Well, his base's donations are what's being used to pay his attorneys (and Melania's hair stylist). Forty million this year and he's only had 2 court appearances just to plead not guilty? Someone is overpaying for legal services. Well, not someone. All of those who've sent Trump money.

It was when he took ACTIONS that were illegal that are the problem. The indictment literally says Trump had every right to say the election was stolen regardless of whether he believed it was or wasn't. No judge is going to allow that as a defense because he's not being charged for what he said. It's what he did, like the fake electors scheme.

Oh, you're wrong. Trump being on the ballot is the best chance Biden has of winning. If there's a different Republican on the ballot, Biden has a much lower chance.

@jacquelinel1618 He doesn't have the right to keep govt documents. If he would have returned them, this wouldn't be happening. Why do you think Trump worked so hard to keep the documents hidden? You must have a theory. If there was a chance that Trump was entitled to them, then, he could have filed a motion stating this. He didn't. Trump and his attorneys are telling you one thing on TV, but are doing and saying something completely different in court.

 @grandmastershek NY state doesn't allow cameras in criminal trials. HOWEVER, the US govt made an exception for the Watergate trials. I anticipate they'll do the same for Trump's.

You think there's evidence to impeach Biden? Go for it!! You do realize that if you're voting for Trump, your best shot at winning is if Biden is the Democratic candidate, right? When 76% of people who voted for Biden in 2020 would prefer a different Democrat on the ballot, why on earth would you push to change that? Literally, Biden being on the ballot is Trump's best chance at possibly winning. Most Democrats would love to have an open Democratic primary. So, if there's evidence of Biden committing a crime, please bring the impeachment. It would be a blessing and raise the likelihood of a Democrat winning again in 2024.
