  2. ​ @scotcharron1679  Seriously? What did he do to change things during his 4 years? The only thing he got passed was a tax cut that helped the very, very wealthy. Now. He wants to give them more tax cuts and to pay for it, people like you and me will have to pay for it through 20% higher costs on virtually everything we buy through tarifs AND by severely cutting social security Medicare and Medicaid. A 20% tariff on goods imported from China is not paid by China. If Walmart imports 1000 dollars of goods from China, it is Walmart that pays the US govt the 20% ($200) on those goods.Walmart pays China 1,000 and then pays the US govt tve 200. Guess what. Walmart is going to raise the prices to cover the extra 20%. Even things that made and assembled in the US with parts they source from China is going to have to raise their prices to cover the 20%. Even oil rigs use Chinese made parts . Tariffs affect the middle class more than anyone else and cause economic downturns and recessions. That's why countries avoid them at all costs
