  1. Well, she definitely could have gone about it differently. A school board meeting is a professional meeting/gathering, and she certainly didn't present her issue professionally. She went for sensationalism, instead, and it made her look like an idiot.

  2.  @robinsss  The problem is that b/c she "presented" it so unprofessionally and with such ridiculous sensationalism, she put the main focus upon herself and not on the book. She was out of line. She wanted the spotlight. After that, every kid is going to want to read that book. Some will check it out before the schools can pull it. If her main goal was stopping children from reading this book, she would have kept far more chdren from reading it jif she'd handled the situation differently. Instead, she selfishly chose to focus on herself -- and managed to embarrass the hell out of her children in the process.

  3. Are you sure? How long was this book in the library before someone noticed? Unless you read every book in both if your school's libraries, how would you know for sure?
