The reason that Republicans haven't gotten a single Immigration Reform Bill sponsored not one have they sponsored is because it seems that they prefer to keep immigration as it is so that they can campaign on it. The Republicans have repeatedly and repeatedly refused to even negotiate an Immigration Reform Bill with Democrats. I haven't seen Republicans sponsoring Immigration Reform Bill since I've been following politics for over 50 years. The GOP does not want a solution for immigration process because that's what they always use for their campaign platform. If they actually came up with an immigration reform package and presented it in Congress and it passed, what would the GOP have to run on in 2024? The GOP uses immigration reform every single election cycle as their big campaign issue and have REPEATEDLY claimed they are going to fix immigration if they get elected. It never happens. Immigrants was the key issue for Boebert and MTG and Gaetz, but not one sponsored an immigration reform bill. Remember Trump's #1 campaign promise in 2016? The wall and now we have an additional 35 feet not the 3,800 feet he promised.
