  1. We are the only country that has people losing everything due to medical bills. We're the only country where people file bankruptcy due to medical bills. Half of all US bankruptcies are due to medical bills. We are the ONLY developed nations without universal healthcare. Pharmaceuticals made by US companies and manufactured 100% in the US charge Americans more for their drugs than they charge in any other country. Trump campaigned on a promise to change that, but he didn't. Biden actually did it and had it passed in the Inflation Reduction Act last month. Now, pharmaceutical companies have to negotiate the price of their drugs in the US just like they do in all other countries. It's not Universal Healthcare, but it's a start.
