  3. Russia has lost upto 20 thousand troops killed and wounded in the battles for Soledar and Bakhmut. Ukraine has inflicted major casualties on Russian attackers for one very small town. They threw everything they had. Mercenaries, paratroopers, massive amounts of Artillery, and armored vehicles. The Russians are exhausted for very little gain. It is nothing but a political victory so Russia can zombify the Russian people with more nonsense about great success. It is all to no avail. Russia can not win this war. To occupy Ukraine they will need 3 million troops on the ground. In Afghanistan, the soviet union killed 1 million people, fought for 10 years, and still lost. The Soviet Union was bigger economically and had a much bigger military than the Russian Federation but it still failed, the question is: what makes people think the Russian Federation is going to succeed in Ukraine? Russia is under the greatest sanctions ever placed on a single country, much bigger than the sanctions placed on the soviet union when it went into Afghanistan. It is up against the West which has a combined 50 trillion GDP against Russia's tiny GDP of 1.6 trillion. Right there with those figures, Russia has lost this war. The sanctions will eventually destroy Russia as we now know it, there is no doubt about that. The collapse of the Russian economy is coming. Further Mobilisation will be the final nail in the Russian economic coffin. I million fled at the beginning of the War another 1 million anti-mobilization individuals also fled. 500,000 thousand have also been taken out of the economy and placed into the military. If another mobilization is called that will be another 500,000. It will accelerate the collapse of the Russian Federation. The West is starting to take the gloves off. Up to now its been sending bits and pieces of leftover equipment and with just 16 HIMARS Ukraine took back Kherson, and defeated the Russians at Kyiv, Kharkiv, and Luhanske. Imagine what Ukraine is going to do when it starts getting serious weapons? It's coming. Tanks, Jets, Long range missiles, more Artillery, there's even a rumor Apache helicopter gunships are going to be given to the Ukrainians if Russia mobilizes more troops. Don't you understand the West can not let Russia win? If France and Great Britain had stopped Germany in 1938/9 before it was fully mobilized maybe 30 million people would not have died. The same principle is here. Russia wins the world is going to be a much more dangerous place. And let's be honest who wants to really live under the Russian system of corruption and blatant disregard for the civil rule of Law. These little victories in very small, minor towns are sucking the lifeblood of the Russian military. Ukraine casualties are one-tenth of Russian casualties, for every 100 Ukrainians killed and wounded Russia loses 600 to 700. That is why Ukraine will not defend anywhere to the bitter end. They don't have to. Inflict massive casualties and if needed, retreat. Russia has not won a single strategic victory in nearly 12 months. Read that again they have not won anything of importance since their initial invasion when Ukraine was not fully mobilized or even ready. On the other hand, Ukraine has inflicted at least half a dozen major strategic defeats on the 2nd Army in the world. It is nearly a year and Ukraine is still not beaten and in fact, looks as if it may win. If it gets the weapons it needs Russia is truly finished as even a regional power. When that happens watch what your 'friend' China does in the far East. Watch your back. It's easy to get stabbed in it, same way as Russia stabbed Ukraine in the back after the Budapest agreement. Just saying.
