ALL supplies given to Ukraine reach their intended destinations now. Back in April, 30-40 percent of supplies were reaching their destinations in good time. That has now increased to nearly 100 percent. The Americans have a dedicated Brigadier General, Garrick Harmon, liasing with KYIV on arms control and monitoring. So your figures are out of date and no longer valid.
Your description of 200,000 thousand Ukrainian casualties is complete pie in the sky. Russia has been attacking. The internationally recognized ratio of force when attacking is 3 to1. This means that attacking forces are going to lose 3 Kia or wounded for 1 Ukrainian KIA or wounded, so how can the Ukrainians who have been defending have 200,000 casualties this means that Russian casualties are around 600,000. You cant have your cake and eat it. All Ukrainian positions have been fortified since 2014 and have been built to withstand heavy artillery firepower. When this has become too much Ukrainian forces have just retreated back to secondary defensive lines in good order and when Russian forces have advanced they have been cut to pieces and gained very small incremental areas at massive casulaties. Without heavy artillery, Russia would have been defeated months ago because of the very poor tactics, decision-making, and morale of the Russian troops. Ukraine is a big country and the Ukrainian armed forces are simply doing what the soviet union did in world war 2 giving up territory very slowly while inflicting heavy casualties on Russian forces and extending logistical supplies.
At the rate, the Russian military is advancing it will take another 6 months to take the rest of the Donbas. By this time Ukraine will have received the American lend-lease package of 40 billion dollars on top of the money they have already been given. In addition, at least 20 thousand Ukrainian troops will have been trained to NATO standards and will be armed with NATO weapons and heavy equipment because you are correct there will not be any more soviet weaponry left to give to Ukraine. The Americans are already in the process of placing a top General in a position to coordinate the production of weaponry specifically for Ukraine. Don't forget Western production is based on a combined GDP of 50 trillion compared to Russia's GDP of 1.6 trillion.
The Soviet Union was a true superpower much more powerful both Military and economically than the Russian Federation and yet it collapsed under the pressure placed upon it by the Afghanistan war and the economic burden of competition with the West. What makes you think it's going to be any different this time? With the sanctions placed on Russia time is not on Putins side and if Russia takes all of Ukraine don't think things are going to stop and everything goes back to normal. The sanctions against Russia will never stop and only get more severe. And it will be virtually impossible for Russia to pivot to the East and make up for the loss of Western Oil and Gas markets. And if there is a full-blown recession Oil will drop below 50 dollars a barrel and Russia will no longer be classed as even a regional power because the collapse of the Russian economy will be severe.
Western nations have up to August, already in storage, 75 percent of Gas needed in Reserve for the winter. Over the next 2-3 months this will have risen to 100 percent well ahead of schedule.
This means there will be NO gas shortages over the Winter months. Yes prices are going to go through the roof no question of that but western nations are already putting in place financial packages for the general population that will mitigate the worst of the price increases. It will still be painful but people will manage. If Putin thinks his finger on the gas trigger is going to make the West back down I very much doubt that is going to happen.
Time is on Ukraine's side. People are concentrating on the military side so much they are forgetting the economics of this war. It is impossible for Russia to compete in any shape or form with the West. I am not even talking now about the military side of things, Russia can take the whole of Ukraine but it is very doubtful there will even be a unified Russia to enjoy the spoils of its victory its economic collapse will be so bad. The west will never accept a win for Russia in Ukraine because it means every other country in the East is under threat, they can't back down. Putin gambled big time and has failed big-time win or lose in Ukraine.
I wish the ordinary people of Russia a good life but under Putin, i fear the worst. I hope one day you can return to civilization but I fear the distrust of Russia will last for generations. It is so sad because Russia has so much to offer the world.
